Note : Oh, look, it's another one of the underwater sci-fi movies that came out in 1989, this time by Friday the 13th's own Sean S. Cunningham. If you're not satisfied with The Abyss, Leviathan, Lords of the Deep (please only watch this on MSTK3k) and The Rift, then by all means, get into this little sci-fi creature horror number about some people who just want to get topside after their rotation, and the giant crustacean that loves them. It's largely an Alien rip-off, but the practical and creature effects are pretty good, Miguel Ferrer stands out of an otherwise ordinary cast, the environments sufficiently claustrophobic, and there's a gnarly death or two.
This is honestly a better-looking remaster than it has any business being for such a small and obscure film. Color, grain, detail, everything pretty top-notch. The commentary tracks are pretty good too, as is the isolated score/interview with Harry Manfredini.
